New York–Day 3

Well, I promise there’s more than 2 days to my trip…hopefully I can get these trip posts wrapped up because I’ve been a huge slacker!

Moving On!

On our third and final full day in NYC, David and Chloe slept in a little bit, but I was up and at ‘em bright and early. So what’s a girl to do? Go get a Starbucks and people watch in Times Square of course!

Come to find out, the city that never sleeps, does sleep. Late in fact! When you’re up and out at 8:00, the only shops that were really open were the coffee shops! So after I finished my tall caramel frappucino (since I don’t drink regular coffee) I headed back to the room right when I knew the wake up call was set for to see if the creatures were stirring…I think the room call went off along with two cell phone alarms and they were still sleeping haha! Once they were awake, I knew it’d still be a while before we were ready to go, so I went on my second venture out of the day.

Shops were starting to open up I also did a little shopping at the four story Forever 21 and the typical tourist shops. I got a couple of magnets and a classic “I heart NY” shirt.

Once everyone was ready for the day, we set out towards Ground Zero. Wow.

After the eerie/sad visit to Ground Zero, we made our way to Wall Street. It was a busy place and there were lots of business people everywhere.

This was quite the little display. This man had two dogs, two cats, a guinnea pig who promptly got put back into place if they would stray any. Quite the site!

Next on the list was to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. This thing is HUGE! It was very neat walking across, but stay in your lane or the bikers get angry!

At first I thought they brought the wrong pizza because of the “crunchy leaves”…haha! Turns out basil is just a standard topping on these real pizzas!

This last batch of pictures were taken by hanging my arm out of the window of our room! I was tired of the glare on the window, and the window wouldn’t open enough to stick my head out, so I improvised :)
