I really need to get back on track with my blogging. I keep saying so, but really I do. One a these days I want to make this here blog into a book and I’m gonna have a lot of unimportant life events great moments to remember missing if I don’t post more regularly.
My bad.
Anywho, two weekends ago I went scalloping with the fam. We went out to St. Marks and limited out. The weather was gorgeous and hot and the water was wonderful. We had a grand time! (sorry for the non-excellent phone pictures)

Yours truly
We had two boats and lots of people. After a long day of scalloping, eating and sunburningbathing we retired to the sand bar for some more R&R.
There was a wicked storm brewing over land but it never rained on our parade!
Then we ended the perfect day with dinner at Riverside. Yum!
Anywho, let’s see. In no particular order, I got my hair trimmed and long layers added.
I got to spend an unexpected Saturday with one of my besties. It was SO good seeing you Lindsay!! I miss your face already
I did a little laundry room décor in the way of a discounted Marshalls shower curtain. I hung this pretty little lady, and it was looking a bit more cleaned up and pretty with all my junk hidden!
Love it!
Taylor and I went to dinner on Lake Talquin at “The Whip”. A little whole in the wall place with yummy food and pretty views of the lake!
I got a lovely new headband from Ann Taylor. On clearance might I add. I’m smitten.
I DIY’d a Chevron rug. Love love love it!
It’s still drying so looks shiny in some areas.
I bought a $20 plain Ralph Lauren rug from Marshalls. Then I spent hours trying to tape out a pattern (fail #1), cut a cricut stencil (fail #2), and finally figuring out my groove with taping (round 2) only to get about three rows done before calling it a night. I used blue painters tape.
Then it was time to paint. Ive got a navy blue thing going on in the living room, so to go with my lampshade redo I painted navy stripes. It’s a little bluer than I was going for but I sure as heck ain’t repainting it so bluey blue it shall be. The paint bled in two places (a little too much mush dabbing I reckon) but other than that the lines came out pretty crisp.
I’m in love. Here it is in its new home.
Oh and in other random news. I finally bit the bullet and spent $6 on a pack of spin pins. I’ve wanted some for probably a year now and did not think they’d work. I read reviews and everyone swore by them. The verdict. They suck. Didn’t hold my fat hair for one second FAIL!
Oh, and my pupper dog loves me
I love, love your headband too! Thanks for the update!!!
