For moving day that is!
Sunday we did our preliminary walk through/ “inspection”. You don’t typically get an inspection with a new construction, so we used our trusty inspectors (our Dads) to take a good look at the house with us. After a few hours of them checking things out and both of our Moms helping too, we compiled a big punch list.
Thank you guys again SOOO much!!
I’ve found out I’m really good at putting together reports. I should be an inspector. Photos, descriptions and arrows are my jam. Except by page 30 and two hours later, I was over it.
Today was the final walk through. They’d gotten through a lot of the punch list but still had all the touchup painting to do inside.
As of today, we are set for closing on Friday, the 11th at 4:00!
That means we are planning to move in this Saturday!
Holy moly. This is seriously happening. That date I’ve been looking forward to since September is almost here! Somebody pinch me.
WE CAN’T WAIT.
In the meantime, there’s been lots and lots of packing. I am over it. And to think I get to unpack it all very shortly! At least that’s the semi more fun part of the two!
I lay in bed each night mentally decorating the walls. It’s gonna seriously be like Christmas!!
Here is my reality. It’s driving me nuts.
Cannot wait to have some space and my sanity back!
Oh and we also have a jam packed storage unit that needs to be moved. Who needs this much stuff? Ugh. It’s just too much stuff. Garage Sale here I come.
Sitting in our bare living room the other night, I told David that as much as we want to move into our new house, I’m really going to miss my tiny little cozy duplex. It was my haven. The first space that was mine. It’s really wild how much can change in a year and a half. But we all know that’s a whole ‘nother post.
I am so, so blessed.
Next time you hear from me, I should be blogging from the new digs!
I owe you wonderful people a house tour!!
Speaking of New Digs, I am so excited about the change of address cards I’ve ordered. Can’t wait to share them when they come in!!
It has been do fun to watch your journey this past year and I'm truly excited for you two! Can't wait to see how beautiful you make the house :)
