NYC/Boston–Day 4

Well, we survived the big city! Saturday we took our time getting up and packed, because it was our last morning in NYC! This morning was particularly overcast, windy and COLD! So far we had been fortunate to have normal chilly temps, but nothing sub-zero. This day with the wind was inching toward some very cold weather. Once we got packed and said goodbye to our room, we caught a cab to Penn Station where we’d be hopping on the Bolt Bus at 12:00 sharp which would take us to Boston. Although we were sad to leave, we came, we saw and we had a blast and we were ready for part two of our trip!

We stopped at a cute diner for some brunch. Chloe and I had buffalo chicken wraps – so good! And David had waffles. DSC_0729 DSC_0730

We were lucky to have a seat on the bus, because the 11:00 bus to Boston “never showed” so when we loaded at 11:45, there were about 5 seats left on the whole bus…5 minutes later and there wouldn’t have been room. Thank goodness we made it!

{Wifi on the bus = big plus!}

Cody picked us up from the bus station while Laura was doing some last minute things getting ready for our arrival. They welcomed us into their beautiful home and we immediately kicked off our shoes (because for one they were covered in ice and dirt!) and made ourselves at home!

We met Lucy, their super cool cat. “Luuuucccy!!” This was said a lot over the course of our stay by us three...we just loved that cat!

After the boys spent a long time in front of the computer and confirming plans for the next day, the girls were ready to have some fun! We went candle pin bowling (I think that’s right). It was a lot of fun, but I was not good at it. Regular bowling? Sign me up. Strange small ball that the harder you throw the more wonky it goes? Eh, I need some practice! We had a blast though!

When we got back to the house, the boys concocted some chocolate martinis. I took a few sips of mine then passed it to Chloe. I didn’t want it to go to waste and I wasn’t too crazy about the alcohol…I’m such a bore huh?!
